This Code of Conduct (also referred to as Code of Ethics or Employee/Staff Code of Conduct) sets forth the ethical, professional, and behavioral standards expected of all individuals associated with Voice10x Media LLP (“Company”, “we”, “us”, orour”), including full-time employees, part-time contributors, freelancers, interns, contractors, editors, writers, podcasters, video creators, social media managers, and any other personnel involved in creating, publishing, distributing, or managing content on our platforms.

The Company operates a digital media platform focused on content for startups (founder stories, funding news, innovation trends), corporate news (business developments, industry analysis, leadership updates), and motivational stories (personal growth, resilience, inspirational narratives). This Code aligns with:

Norms of Journalistic Conduct (2022 edition) of the Press Council of India (PCI);
Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (as amended);
Programme Code under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 (where applicable to video/podcast content);
Core principles from bodies like the Editors Guild of India and general best practices for digital media in India.
All personnel must read, understand, and comply with this Code. Violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of engagement, legal consequences, and reporting to relevant authorities.

1. Integrity & Professionalism

1.1 Act with honesty, integrity, and transparency in all professional dealings.
1.2 Avoid conflicts of interest; disclose any personal, financial, or relational interests that could influence editorial decisions (e.g., investments in startups covered, family ties to sources).
1.3 Do not accept gifts, favors, trips, discounts, preferential shares, loans, or any consideration that could compromise objectivity (per PCI norms on financial journalism).
1.4 Maintain separation between editorial/content decisions and commercial/sales activities. Sponsored or affiliate content must be clearly labeled and never influence independent coverage.

2. Accuracy, Fairness & Objectivity

2.1 Verify facts from multiple credible sources before publication. Cross-check claims (e.g., funding amounts, valuations, quotes, success metrics in motivational stories).
2.2 Report accurately, fairly, and without distortion, exaggeration, or sensationalism.
2.3 Present balanced views where controversy exists; seek comment from affected parties when feasible.
2.4 Clearly distinguish facts from opinion, analysis, or sponsored content. Label opinion pieces, sponsored posts, or AI-assisted drafts appropriately.
2.5 Eschew publication of inaccurate, misleading, baseless, or unverified material. Avoid clickbait headlines that misrepresent content.

3. Respect for Privacy & Dignity

3.1 Respect the right to privacy, especially of individuals in motivational stories or corporate profiles. Do not intrude unnecessarily into personal lives unless justified by public interest.
3.2 Handle sensitive topics (mental health, personal failures, tragedies, gender, caste, religion) with care to avoid harm, stigma, or discrimination.
3.3 Avoid naming minors, victims of crime, or vulnerable individuals without strong justification and consent where possible.
3.4 Do not harass, defame, or libel individuals or entities.

4. Independence & Freedom from Undue Influence

4.1 Editorial content must remain independent of advertisers, sponsors, government, political parties, or external pressures.
4.2 Resist any attempt to influence coverage through threats, inducements, or pressure. Report such attempts internally.
4.3 Do not plagiarize; attribute sources properly and respect copyright.

5. Conduct in Reporting & Sourcing

5.1 Gather information lawfully; do not misrepresent identity, use hidden recording without justification, or obtain information illegally.
5.2 Use anonymous sources sparingly and only with editorial approval; corroborate where possible.
5.3 In interviews for motivational/corporate/startup stories, obtain informed consent for quotes and personal details.
5.4 Protect confidential sources when promised.

6. Social Media & Personal Conduct

6.1 Personal social media use must not conflict with Company values or damage reputation. Avoid posting content that could be seen as biased, discriminatory, or unprofessional in a way that reflects on the Company.
6.2 Do not use Company platforms or affiliation for personal gain without approval.
6.3 Separate personal and Company social media accounts where possible.

7. Handling Corrections & Complaints

7.1 Promptly correct errors with transparent notes (e.g., “Updated: Corrected [detail] on [date]”).
7.2 Cooperate fully with grievance processes (see Grievance Officer in Terms of Use / Privacy Policy).
7.3 Report internal ethical concerns confidentially to management or designated officer.

8. Diversity, Inclusion & Non-Discrimination

8.1 Promote diverse voices in content (startups from varied backgrounds, inclusive motivational stories).
8.2 Treat colleagues, sources, and audience with respect; prohibit discrimination based on gender, caste, religion, ethnicity, disability, etc.

9. Compliance with Laws & Regulations

9.1 Adhere to all applicable laws, including IT Act 2000, DPDP Act 2023, Copyright Act 1957, and prohibitions on hate speech, obscenity, or incitement.
9.2 For digital curated content (if applicable), follow classification ratings (U, U/A, A) and display requirements under IT Rules 2021.
9.3 Preserve content records as required (minimum 60 days for certain publishers).

10. Training & Acknowledgment

10.1 All personnel must undergo periodic training on this Code, journalistic ethics, and relevant laws.
10.2 New joiners/contributors must acknowledge receipt and understanding in writing.

11. Enforcement & Consequences

11.1 Breaches investigated internally; may involve warnings, suspension, termination, or referral to authorities.
11.2 The Company may update this Code; continued engagement constitutes acceptance.
